The 28 Western films that Roy and Dale starred in together contain more than 160 songs. Most of these songs were written exclusively for the films and were never published, copyrighted, or performed anywhere else. When the theater-master films were trimmed for television in the 1950s, many songs landed on the cutting-room floor, never to be heard again.
This five-year, worldwide effort has produced It Was Always the Music. The 4-CD Box Set contains digitally remastered soundtrack recordings of all the songs from the 28 films, a booklet of photos from the films, and complete lyrics. This is the 4 CD set and booklet ONLY.

This collection includes two episodes of the half-hour Roy Rogers Show (complete with commercials) "Bad Neighbors", and "Empty Saddles", as they orgiginally aired on the NBC network in the 1950's. Also included is the one-hour variety show, ABC Presents The Roy Rogers and Dale Evans Show (1962). This DVD version also includes a 1959 episode of "The Chevy Show: Starring Roy Rogers & Dale Evans, with special guests, Jimmy Dean, Molly Bee and Carl Reiner.
