On October 21, 1985, Roy Rogers & Dale Evans began shooting the first twenty-six episodes of the Happy Trails Theatre series that would premier on January 4, 1986. Each show features Roy and Dale, sometimes with a guest, sharing personal anecdotes about making the week's featured film and the events happening in their private lives at the time. The fifteen-minute wraps for each feature also offer many never before seen photos, along with home movies from the family archive. The series, which eventually totaled 88 episodes, was one of cable television's highest rated shows during the three seasons of its initial run. It went off the air in September of 1991, and has not been available on television or video since.

Movie Synopsis: Directed by Joe Kane, this film opens in Missouri in 1861, as war threatens and Roy sees his friend Dave Allen (David Kerwin) fallin with "bad company", Val McBride (Stuart Hamblen). When war does break out, Roy & Gabby Hayes join the Confederate army as scouts, but McBride's band begins looting and killing, and so the Arizona Kid must choose between justice and his friendship with Dave.

Also included is the one-hour variety show, ABC Presents The Roy Rogers and Dale Evans Show (1962). This DVD version also includes a 1959 episode of "The Chevy Show: Starring Roy Rogers & Dale Evans, with special guests, Jimmy Dean, Molly Bee and Carl Reiner.
